Description: Colorado State boundary modified by the Colorado Geological Survey to provide an accurate digital representation of the state boundary. The original county data from which this coverage was created was developed by CO DOLA to support general mapping purposes. The State boundary in this coverage was created by merging county outlines that were digitized by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) from the USGS Colorado County topographic series (1979) scale stable 1:50,000 film positive composites. The digital boundaries were appended to create the statewide coverage. Includes the 1989 land transfer between Adams and Denver Counties for Denver International Airport and the 2001 formation of Broomfield County.
