Process Steps and Publication Dates are not reflected in this metadata documentation. The purpose of these data is to provide a reasonably accurate depiction of who or what agency manages the surface of a given area of land. The data can be used for small scale (1:24,000 and smaller) analysis, cartographic products, GIS display, spatial feature discovery, spatial relationships (Man Made or Natural), These data support and assist in management decisions and planning. Shapefile Format –This data set is a result of compiling differing source materials of various vintages. Source material examples used to create and maintain dataset include: BLM 100k Surface Map Publications, Master Title Plats, Public Land Survey GIS Data (cadnsdi v.2.0), Field Office GIS Data, Compiled 24k USGS Maps, and Land Records. Ongoing updates are made. Credits: BLM, Colorado. Use limitations: These data are provided by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) “as is” and might contain errors or omissions.
